IJmuiden is a port town in the Dutch province North Holland. Its name stands for “mouth of the IJ”. I wanted to go there for quite some time. The town itself is unremarkable, but the seaside over there is beautiful. There are wide sandy beaches, breakwaters and lighthouses. The wind is permanent phenomenon on the North Sea, that’s why the place is very popular among kiters.
